Princess Lily

This is a project I had been thinking about for over a year. To make it happen, I recruited my ridiculously talented mother to whip up some frothy princess creations and my dear friend Abby's daughter to play dress up with me for an afternoon.

Lily said she couldn't choose one favorite princess.  In fact, I think she told me that all four were her favorites; Abby and my favorites were Snow White and Belle. Lily confidently reminded me that I forgot an apple for Snow but quickly forgave my error when Mrs. Potts appeared!

After dress up, Lily showed off her best twirls. I love the movement and light and wonder in these. Lily's fearlessness at five is an inspiration to me at 28. Shooting these images with her helped remind me to be a bit more brave in my pursuits.
